The Fourth of July has always been a big holiday in our family. We have many veterans…and those who have lost their lives defending our country…

On this Fourth, I feel compelled to encourage everyone to look at their life…the benefits they enjoy…and the cost others have paid.

I have been doing a lot of reading on the founding of this country. The intentions of the founders and the hand of God directing the events of our history. Do I believe we are perfect? I do not. Do I believe we are the best choice in the world?  I do.

Could I encourage everyone to read Michael Medved’s books on our history? And the way our God has directed our path?

For me, our Father is directing all of this world’s events. He is bringing His purposes to fulfillment. We can rest safely in Him.

Do I understand it all? I do not. But we can trust the true and living God.
