War
If the past few months can be about anything, they are certainly about war. Before the current struggle in the Middle East, news outlets had reports of Ukraine and Russia at war. Some nations, for example, Myanmar (Burma), have been at war for decades. And there are so many more examples. War. Such a horrible word.
Homes are demolished. Schools destroyed. The children and the elderly perish. Young men and women with their lives before them lie on battlefields. Beautiful fields, forests, communities, all reduced to charred ground or piles of rubble. Lives destroyed. Families displaced or separated. I can think of no good attribute of war.
Some would say we should never fight. While I despise fighting, I could never stand by and watch loved ones captured or killed. Those who would seek to conquer us and take what rightfully belongs to us must be resisted. Even if the cost is high.
As I write these words, I know they could be inflammatory. We are such divided people in the opinions we hold. It is not my intent to create more disagreement or argument. Only point out that war finds us. Whether in the physical realm or the spiritual realm.
Each day, prayer warriors wake up to enter the spiritual war. They “put on” the armor of God. Pray His protection over themselves and others who pray. They ask for healing in those who are sick in any area of life. Request safety for those they know and love. Pray people will receive Yeshua as their Messiah. And so much more.
If we doubt there is a spiritual war raging around us, look and see how much venom we hear spewed out daily. Hate abounds. No love and mercy between people.
This Passover, the moon was as beautiful as I think I’ve ever seen it. The heavens have been glorious. We are sending astronauts around the moon. I can’t help but believe their perspective will be forever changed. Seeing the beautiful blue orb Father provided us to live on hanging in the middle of black space.
Thinking on all these things Passover, Crucifixion, Resurrection, those souls going around the moon…my heart aches for us to lay our weapons against each other down…pick up the weapons Father provides for us to do spiritual battle…lock arms and fight the true enemy of our people.
Finally, be strong in the LORD, and in the strength of His might.
Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace,
In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel. Ephesians 6:10-19
Amen amen!Jesus left us covered with the armor of God and the guidance, discernment and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
