I love the Lord’s Prayer. The words are familiar and comforting. It was the prayer I recited as a child before going to sleep. I thought it was amazing that our Yeshua gave the disciples and us a prayer we could pray that was acceptable to Abba God.

The danger in reciting a prayer every day is it does become too familiar…repeated from memory with our hearts not being engaged. Tragic.

Our mighty God does perform miracles. This life walk has shown me that how He answers is always best. It is one thing to say this but quite another to know and believe it in our hearts.

Our experiences in life drive us to God to ask Him for answers. For most of our immature spiritual life, we explain how we would like Abba to respond when we pray. Bless our hearts. How grateful I am for His patience. He gives His answers, His solution, in HIs time. Thanks and praise to Him for this gift.

Looking back over my life, I can see disaster after disaster if Abba had answered as I had on occasion demanded. In His love and kindness and great mercy, He carefully sent the answers that were always best.

In recent years, praying the Lord’s Prayer one day I realized, I could honestly pray from the heart, “Thy will be done”. It was an amazing realization. One I appreciated so much.

I have not reached complete maturity… I haven’t got everything spiritual precept perfected, but it meant the world to know finally, I truly trusted Him to answer in the best way…thanks be to our Abba God. Thy will be done.
