Walking Forward
Christmas Day has come and gone. Presents are given and received. We stood at the foot of the tree…sang the carols…lit the candles…glorified our God. Now what? Simple. Walk forward.
It’s time to walk into a brand new year. Time to start that trip around the sun once again. Pick up the work we have been given to do and get to it.
Listen to that inner voice. Not your inner voice…not my inner voice…but the voice of Holy Spirit within you. I love Isaiah 30:21 “And your ears will hear a word behind you, This is the way, walk in it”.
We wonder:
What is the best decision?
What is the best job to take?
Where should I go to school?
What profession do I begin?
Who do I marry?
Do I give my life to Christ?
How do we find answers?
Our God does lead. He does speak, in so many ways, maybe by scripture, a friend, or a family member. Sometimes circumstances direct our steps. Then there are times we have a “knowing” in our hearts. No words have been spoken. No earthquake. No giant wind. Just a sense of, “This is the way, now walk”.
I’ve talked so much about Baxter running and me walking. But those times out walking/running can be so instructive. You are alone with Abba God and it is quiet enough to pay attention to Him. (No one bothers you because they don’t know just how far they might have to go! 😉)
I covet those alone times. I need instruction from Him.
One of the scriptures I pray in my morning prayers is “You are the Holy One the Redeemer of Israel…show me the way to go” (Paraphrased.) To me, this is so important. Many possibilities are put before us each day. I want to trust that Abba leads as I do the “next thing”.
Time is a precious gift. I don’t want to waste it. Let’s walk into this next year with confidence and hope. We have just celebrated The One who gives us hope…let’s carry that hope as we walk forward.
Love…Peace…Joy to all.
Love this my friend!💕🙌
Beautiful, another rough day poor baby, God does speak using whatever means necessary, thank Him for it. See you soon!
